Personalised Medicine: The Promise, the Hype and the Pitfalls


On Friday 9th September, colleagues from CASMI will be presenting at the University of Oxford’s Healthcare Values Partnership and S:CORT conference ‘Personalised Medicine: The Promise, the Hype and the Pitfalls’. The opening session, to be delivered by Professor Sir John Tooke, Co-Chair of CASMI will explore the dynamics and ethics of hype and promise in relation to personalised medicine as part of this major conference will explore the scientific, clinical, legal, ethical and social implications of biomarker-based personalised medicine.
